“On the second day of Christmas, my true love gave to me…”
We all know the Christmas song, but I’m changing it up a bit. My song is called the “12 Practices of the Holidays!”
Even if you do not celebrate Christmas, perhaps you celebrate Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, or something else, these practices will work for you. I hope you enjoy!
Day 2
The second practice of the holidays is--- PRACTICE RESPECT.
Respect is defined as a feeling of deep admiration for someone or something elicited by their abilities, qualities, or achievements. It’s easy to be disrespectful, but to respect others sometimes is a hard practice to follow.
In these times, one of the best ways to respect others is to help them stay safe during COVID-19. Wear a mask, maintain proper social distance, and be kind.
You never know what someone else is going through at any given time. Be like Aretha Franklin. R-E-S-P-E-C-T others and yourself!
